What COVID-19 precautions are you taking? 

KMC is taking every precaution available to ensure safe and engaging music therapy and lessons. Andrew has recorded both rounds of the Moderna vaccination to supplement cleaning protocols and general best practices related to one on one therapy, lessons or events. 

 

What types of lessons do you offer?

We currently offer lessons for:

• Guitar

• Ukulele 

• Bass guitar

• Saxophone

• Piano

• Voice

• Song writing 

• Music theory (beginner)

• Audio production (beginner)

 

Do you offer virtual lessons? 

Yes! All lessons can be done virtually or in-person upon request, following strict safety protocol. 

 

Do I need prior musical experience or training? 

No experience or training is necessary to start lessons.

 

Do I need to have my own instrument at home? 

Yes, ideally you should have an instrument of your own to practice on. The Kavanagh Music Company cannot provide you with rental instruments at this time. 

 

How often should I practice?

Each student comes to us with different levels of experience, background, goals, and aspirations. That means that expectations and goals will also vary from person to person. It is best to discuss this with your teacher so that you can develop a practice routine that will best meet your needs.

 

Is there an age limit for lessons? 

There are no age restrictions for lessons. Students of all ages are welcome and encouraged to start learning a new instrument! 

 

Do you offer parent/child lessons? 

Yes, upon request. 

 

Do you offer group lessons?

Yes, we are able to accommodate group lessons virtually at this time. In person groups will be offered once it is safe to do so.

 

What should I bring to my lesson? 

A few things you should have with you for every lesson are:

• Your instrument 

• Your music

• Something to take notes on (phone, iPad, laptop, paper and pencil)
